Starbucks 5th of July Lake Union Cleanup

In a fun follow-up to the Independence Day event, Starbucks is proud to organize the 5th of July Lake Union Cleanup. In the spirit of keeping our neighborhoods clean and healthy and thanking our Lake Union neighbors for their hospitality, Starbucks is inviting community at large to join their partners (employees) to come out for a day of service to re-beautify the area. Volunteer

We couldn’t have the Family 4th without the great help we get from volunteers. Volunteers get to see the Family 4th behind the scenes and do a great community service by helping us put on this fantastic family event. Volunteers also get an exclusive T-shirt, and can put their hours toward meeting a community service requirement.

How do you get started? First off, register on Shiftboard and sign up for teams that look interesting to you.

There are great volunteer opportunities for all interests and abilities in Production, Customer Service, PR-Marketing, Hospitality… you name it. Shifts are posted annually in the spring but register now so you’re the first to hear about them.

Since 1988, One Reel has produced the highly anticipated annual 4th of July celebration, which draws approximately 50,000 revelers to Gas Works Park, as well as 200,000 fans on Lake Union in watercraft and in surrounding neighborhoods, and another 200,000 television viewers. This event, hailed by Forbes Travel magazine and Time magazine as one of the top Independence Day fireworks displays in the country, is free to the public, made possible through the generosity of sponsors each year.
